Hi, I’m Dr. Jacobson!

I might not be what you imagine when you envision a psychiatrist and therapist.

For eight years, I trained and worked at the University of Kentucky as a physician, specializing in psychiatry and learning all about the diagnosis and treatment of mental disorders. I wore the white coat and rounded in the hospital.

For another five years after I finished my residency, I worked in my own private practice applying the knowledge and skills I’d learned in all my tears of training.

I did everything I thought I was supposed to do.

But I found myself unfulfilled.

While I enjoyed using medication and brief counseling to help those with depression and anxiety get better, I came to learn that my true passion was counseling professional women to guide them in improving their relationships.

I have always been interested in personal growth and encouraging change using therapy, and my private practice became the perfect place for me to blend my love for counseling with my love for helping women with their relationship issues.

I’ve got years of personal and professional experience with issues like:

You’ll find me to have an understanding, compassionate, but calling-you-on-your-BS style. My practice is virtual, so you can have your session anywhere that feels comfortable to you – your home office, your car, even your bedroom.

I’m also a mom to one human and several cats, and when I’m not serving my clients, you can find me hiking, listening to podcasts (anyone else love true crime podcasts?), or planning my next trip to the beach, which is my happy place. I’m from Kentucky originally and love calling the Bluegrass my home.
